Illuminated is a new animated series being created by some of the people behind GNN (Guerrilla News Network), Phong.com, Pod Collective, Broken Saints, and ConceptArt.org.

The series charts the coming of age of Aya, a young precocious girl in a not-too-distant future, where technology has short-circuited people's ability to achieve REM state... Together with her guru, Shenguan, Aya sets out on a transformational journey to visit the most spiritually charged places on Earth - re-connecting with the wisdom-keepers of the planet and re-learning the ancient spiritual traditions to evolve her consciousness and restore humanity's ability to dream.
Another dramatic political music viddy directed by Ian Inaba for Eminem called Mosh.

Most of the viddy was animated in Flash by Haik Hoisington, Craig Patches and Kevin Elam who did the sick rotoscoping (vector tracing of video), with aftereffects work by Steve Ogden and Mark Nicola, which I took into 3dsMAX, mapped onto 2d planes in the 3d scene, and animated as such.

The bits with Eminem moshing were shot on a greenscreen, dropped out in aftereffects, and compositied into the scene with 3dsMAX with the same planar mapping technique as the cartoons.
This music video for the band Chronic Future's single Time & Time Again, was directed by Ian Inaba at GNN, and largely animated by Haik Hoisington.

The entire video, minus the last shot, was excecuted with Flash. Most of the imagery in Iraq was extracted from public domain photos taken by American soldiers, rebuilt and color balanced in Photoshop, then animated and composited in Flash.

Refracted by the kaleidoscopic consciousness of it's creators, fractured glimses of a dying paradigm echo in conditioned patterns, sychronized to a repetitious beat overlayed with profane frustration.
